It's not uncommon to get distracted by all life brings and change exercise practice at various times of year. Some of us are seasonal runners and others run through it all, 'hail, sleet, rain, or snow, much like the usps. even the most devout runners aren't always able to continue the weekly milage totals which were more obtainable in the warmer months with more day light hours available.
so, how do you get back to start when the season begins? There are so many 'plans' out there to tell us how to train for particular events, but all i want to do is run, enjoy it, and feel strong.
summer is full upon us. temperatures are record breaking and yet, there are runners out all times of the day. some people look at me with the most PECULIAR expression if i admit running 9 to 10 miles in 90+ degree weather and want to know what i am training for. the marathon partnership run with back on my feet PHILADELPHIA in november is some time away and it's not time to train for it just yet. i run as often as i can because i love doing it. i run for the time i have and to be my personal best. i guess i am training to be who i am going to be tomorrow.
what physical activity drives you? Do you set goals or limits for yourself?
